FORTH OS · AUTONOMOUS BUSINESS INFRASTRUCTURE

The operating system for the autonomous company

Run your company with people and AI working as one system. Forth OS connects your team, the software you already use, your company data and specialist AI agents through a single operational layer. Agents monitor, plan, draft, communicate and execute the work they are authorised to do. Your people keep control of everything that matters.

Traditional software records work. Forth coordinates and performs it.

Your business does not lack software. It has a CRM, an accounts package, a calendar, a drive full of documents and at least one spreadsheet holding something important together. What is missing is the layer between them — the handoffs your people perform by hand, every day, to keep work moving.

TODAY

Keep the software you already use. Forth makes it work together.

NEXT

Add AI workers. Forth makes them work together too.

DESTINATION

One intelligent operating system. People set direction, AI handles the authorised work.

Your AI workforce

Not chatbots. Roles — with tools, knowledge, authority and measurable responsibilities.

Sales Agent

Nothing sits unanswered overnight.

  • · Captures and qualifies every enquiry
  • · Researches the prospect and the job
  • · Drafts the reply and books the appointment
  • · Keeps the CRM accurate without anyone typing
  • · Chases quotes that have gone quiet

Always needs you: Sending a priced quote above your set value, or any discount.

Operations Agent

Jobs move without being chased.

  • · Creates the job and the site pack
  • · Allocates people, plant and materials
  • · Spots delays before the customer does
  • · Chases missing information and documents
  • · Escalates exceptions to the right person

Always needs you: Changing a committed programme date or reallocating a crew.

Finance Agent

Cash stops leaking through the cracks.

  • · Prepares invoices from completed work
  • · Tracks overdue accounts and chases them politely
  • · Reconciles what came in against what was billed
  • · Flags margin drift and unusual costs
  • · Produces the month's management numbers

Always needs you: Credit notes, write-offs and anything touching bank details.

Procurement Agent

Materials arrive before they are missed.

  • · Requests prices from approved suppliers
  • · Compares quotations like for like
  • · Drafts purchase orders
  • · Monitors deliveries and flags shortages

Always needs you: Any order above your limit, a new supplier, or a contract change.

Customer Agent

Customers are updated before they ask.

  • · Answers the questions you answer every week
  • · Sends progress updates and requests documents
  • · Books and reschedules appointments
  • · Collects feedback and flags unhappy customers

Always needs you: Complaints, goodwill gestures and anything contractual.

Every agent has a contract

Before an agent touches a live system it is given an Agent Constitution. If it cannot be written down, the agent does not get deployed.

Role

The job this agent performs, written as you would write it for a person.

Objective

What it is trying to achieve, and how that ties to a company goal.

Tools

The exact systems it can reach — and nothing else.

Knowledge

The company information it is permitted to read.

Authority

What it may do on its own, with no human in the loop.

Financial limit

The value it can commit before approval is required.

Approval rules

The actions that always stop and wait for a named person.

Escalation

When it must stop, and who it hands to.

Success metric

How its performance is measured, monthly.

Budget

How much model and API spend it is allowed to consume.

Audit

Every action it takes is recorded and reviewable.

The Forth Autonomy Ladder

Nobody jumps from spreadsheets to an autonomous company. You climb, and each rung pays for the next.

  1. LEVEL 0

    Manual

    — People operate separate systems by hand

Work moves because someone pushes it. Information is re-keyed between apps, spreadsheets, email and WhatsApp.

  2. LEVEL 1

    Connected

    — Your systems share one version of the truth

CRM, email, finance, calendar, files and job records are joined up. Nothing is typed in twice.

  3. LEVEL 2

    Automated

    — Repetitive admin runs itself

Deterministic workflows handle the predictable handoffs between sales, operations and finance.

  4. LEVEL 3

    AI assisted

    — Agents analyse, summarise and draft

AI reads the enquiry, the document or the job history and prepares the work. A person still sends it.

  5. LEVEL 4

    AI operated

    — Agents execute inside defined authority

Agents carry out approved processes on their own, up to clear financial and risk limits. Anything above the limit waits for a human.

  6. LEVEL 5

    Autonomous

    — Agents cooperate toward company objectives

Several agents coordinate across departments against business goals. People own strategy, exceptions and high-risk decisions.

Four journeys we perfect first

We do not try to automate every department at once. We take complete business journeys, end to end, and prove each one.

Company memory and control

Forth Memory

One permissioned knowledge layer: procedures, pricing, suppliers, products, past jobs, contracts, documents and previous decisions. Agents retrieve what they are allowed to see — they do not keep private copies of your business.

Approval centre

One screen for everything waiting on a human, with the agent's reasoning attached and approve, edit or reject in a click. You retire approvals deliberately as an agent earns them.

Audit trail

Who initiated it, which agent ran it, what knowledge it used, which model, which tools, what it decided, whether a human approved, what it cost and what happened. Visible, not buried in logs.

We build this inside our own businesses first

Forth Systems does not only sell software to operators — it runs operational platforms of its own. Landscape Flow is our construction and landscaping laboratory, Kerbco our permit and administration one, GoMuc logistics, Quotra quoting. What survives contact with real operations moves up into Forth OS.

Questions we get asked

What is Forth OS?
The operating layer between your people, the software you already run and the AI agents doing work inside your business. It holds a shared model of the company, gives each agent permissioned tools and knowledge, routes anything sensitive to a human, and records every action.
Do we have to replace our current systems?
No. Forth OS is built to sit above the CRM, accounts package, email and job systems you already use. Replacing working software is the slowest possible way to start.
How do we know an agent will not do something stupid?
Every agent is deployed with a written constitution: what it may touch, what it may commit financially, what always needs a human, and where it escalates. Anything outside those limits stops and waits.
Where does a business actually start?
With the Autonomy Score, then the £499 AI Ops Audit, then one complete workflow — usually lead to quote — built and proved before anything else is added.
Is Forth OS tied to one AI provider?
No. Tasks are routed to a suitable model on accuracy, speed, cost, privacy and context. Providers can change underneath without changing how the business operates.
